Saic Institute of Management & Technology (SIMT) started its journey in June 2002 with only one Technology (Diploma in Computer Engineering) with the mindset of creating skilled manpower in the contemporary spread and use of technology. In the first year of its inception, SIMT was able to admit students in all the number of sanctioned seats. From the academic year 2003-04, the number of technology and seats increased gradually and in the academic year 2017-18, it increased to 12 technologies and 1008 seats and students were able to get admission in all the approved seats. SIMT is basically a Saic Group managed company. One of the founding chairman of Saic Group is Abu Hasnat Md Yahya and founding secretary Soheli Yachmin.
